In 2012 the AfDB approved a US$157 million loan to finance a Marrakech Region Water Supply Project together with AFD (US$68.7 million), ONEE and the Office Chérifien des Phosphates (OCP), each providing US$66.8 million. The key actors at the policy level in the sector are the Ministry of Energy, Mining, Water and Environment in charge of water resources management and the Ministry of Interior in charge of water supply and sanitation.
